Abstract Submissions MMIRA Conference

The MMIRA conference will comprise paper, panel and roundtable session formats. 

Each session will be 90 minutes in length across the three formats.

  • Paper presentation: Sessions will include single or dyad presenters .Presenters should address theoretical issues in mixed methods research and/or empirical findings from mixed methods research studies. 
  • Panel Presentation: Sessions will include three or more presenters. Presenters should address theoretical issues in mixed methods research and/or empirical findings from mixed methods research studies. 
  • Research Roundtable: Sessions are designed to focus on research detailing formative theories and research projects in progress. (See guidelines for submission to the Research Roundtables below.)

Author Abstract Eligibility:

In order to submit a presentation for the conference you must meet the following criteria:

  • You must be registered for the MMIRA conference                                                
  • You may submit more that one abstract; but please note that the number of paper and roundtable presentations allowed for each presenter will be limited to a maximum of two.

Abstract Format and Guidelines:

The abstract must detail work that has not been published or presented at another professional conference.. Abstracts are to be 1000 words (maximum word count) in length and should comply with the APA Publication Manual(6th ed.) style guidelines. Please note that citing sources is acceptable; however, typically, the abstract is not a place for referring extensively to others’ works.

 Abstracts are due no later than midnight April 30th, 2014.
